Halloween Fun

Our Halloween was one CRAZY day. How could it not be when I'm trying to finish Kaitlyn's dress for the evening with broken sewing machines? Jared was plenty busy trying to fix the machines and then help the kids carve pumpkins before dinner. I was then busy sewing and then making dinner. It was all worth it to see Kaitlyn's happy smile when she got her costume. Even with all the craziness we had a fun evening and got some pretty funny pictures.

First, for the pumpkin carving. The funniest is to watch the progression of Hyrum's pictures. At first, he's thrilled at the activity. Then, he touches the pumpkin innards, and you'll see his true feelings.

Now, for the costumes. Leah decided to hand out candy this year instead of trick-or-treating, but still wanted to dress up as Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West). Kaitlyn was Rapunzel, from "Tangled". Hyrum was Batman, and Amy was a flower. The only costume I needed to make this year was Kaitlyn's.

These last pictures tickle the funny bone if you know Amy. She's such an independent, wants her own way girl. This is how she cooperated for picture taking:

You guys have amazing children. They are just terrific in their costumes. And what cute personalities to match. Great pumpkins, by the way. So much fun. xo

That picture is hilarious. I love candids where you TRULY capture the kid's personality.
