We celebrated Amy's 5th birthday. She wanted to decorate her own cake with her own design. She was very proud of herself! We're grateful to have her in our family. She's always bringing smiles to our faces.
Jared's birthday held a bit of anxiety this year. We were under tornado warning, meaning a tornado had been spotted nearby. The younger kids were held for an hour longer at the elementary school sitting in the halls in the fetal position. Amy and I hunkered down in our basement. Jared had to go to the emergency shelter at work. Everything was fine, but it made the birthday celebrations interesting. I hadn't made it to the store, so Jared had to come home with the ingredients for his birthday dinner. Interesting day, but we still got back to normal and enjoyed celebrating with him.
