April was jam packed for our family!
We hosted a missionary fireside for the missionaries serving in our stake.
Leah and Amy played a violin duet for a music night. Jared and Hyrum also played a trumpet duet, but the lighting was very dim and Jared couldn't see the music, so it did not work out as well as they had hoped.
Hyrum had a Large Group Performance for the Jazz Bands he is in.
The same day that Hyrum had his Jazz Performance Evaluations, our family minus Hyrum traveled to Morehouse College in Atlanta to watch as our prophet, President Russell M. Nelson was awarded the inaugural Gandhi King Mandela Peace Prize. We enjoyed listening to the Spelman and Morehouse College Glee Clubs. We were also honored to meet the artist that painted the portraits of the award recipients.

Hyrum took a trip to Nashville with the Jazz Band.
We celebrated Amy's 13th birthday with breakfast hash, biscuits, and lemon cake. Kaitlyn joined us on a video call from BYU.
Amy also had a violin recital on her birthday.
We celebrated Jared's birthday a few days after Amy's.
We hosted Flat Stanley by taking him to Morehouse College, the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House, and Waffle House.
Amy had an orchestra concert.
Jared's parents came to help us start building the garage. While they were here, Jared's mom helped Amy learn to sew pajama pants in preparation for Girl's Camp. They were also able to attend Hyrum's Jazz Band Concert in Suwanee Town Center.
Hyrum had an awards night for band and he earned the "Rookie of the Year" award. There was also an end of year video presented.
