August 2023

August was a pretty big month for our family.

Hyrum's band played part of their first show at the Corky Kell Stadium.

We stared school on August 2nd with Amy in 8th grade and Hyrum a sophomore.

We continued work on the garage.

We hosted all the missionaries in the zone for a transfer fireside.

Kaitlyn, Hyrum and Amy went ice skating before Leah and Kaitlyn headed to BYU. Kaitlyn was able to show us what she had learned in her ice skating class.

Leah, Kaitlyn and Amy played a violin trio arrangement for "If You Could Hie to Kolob" in sacrament meeting.

Jared drove to Utah with Leah and Kaitlyn to take them to BYU. On the way, they stopped in Nauvoo, Illinois to meet up with our niece, Hannah Wright, who was there as a performing missionary. Genevieve flew out a bit later to help Leah and Kaitlyn get settled, and then Jared and Genevieve drove back to Georgia. Jared's parents came to stay with Hyrum and Amy while we were gone.
