Hyrum's jazz band took a trip to North Carolina to compete in the North Carolina Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Festival. Their high school won Most Outstanding High School Jazz Band and Hyrum won a special music award! Genevieve and Amy travelled to pick him up since the trip extended over a Sunday, so that he could attend sacrament meeting. Since it was a very short trip, Genevieve and Amy took pictures throughout the hotel since that was about the extent of their trip. Amy had fun trying out a hairstyle and playing around with makeup in preparation for a church formal.
