I'm grateful for Elder Wirthlin

I don't know how many people know yet, but I just found out that Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died last night at the age of 91. I was greatly impressed with his recent talk in the last General Conference of the Church titled, "Come What May, and Love It". In particular, I liked the section titled, "Learn to Laugh". I presented this section for our Family Home Evening last week because I felt I need to learn to laugh more and our family could laugh more. It is an excellent talk full of inspiration and wisdom.

I'm grateful for the teachings of Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. I'm also so grateful for living apostles and prophets who truly do prophesy for our day. Elder Wirthlin's talk that impressed me so much can be found at http://lds.org. Click on the Gospel Library link and then the General Conference link. You'll need to select English as the language, and then select the October 2008 General Conference. Scroll down to find his talk. Also, there are many talks in this Conference which have uplifted and inspired our family.

I loved that talk! We used it for our Visiting Teaching message this month. Because of that talk, I've started saying - "I LOVE that." (like when things aren't going my way.) :) It makes me smile instead.
