Okay, for those of you who made me out to be a wonder-woman, let me clarify. First, strep doesn't hit me very hard. I was mostly stressed out because I didn't want to get anyone else sick. Second, I never said I was cheerful with the party preparations. Third, I forgot to pay tribute to Jared. He really is great with a crowd. He has the advantage of a voice that carries over large groups, and he also just has a personality that works well with chaotic excited young people. I guess that's why he's the scoutmaster.
For the people that wanted to know what activities we did at Leah's party, here's the agenda. It really was a tight schedule. :) These ideas were a compilation of brainstorming between Leah and parents.
Agenda for Leah’s Birthday Party:
6-6:30 – gathering activity/make collars for the stuffed animals they brought (they were asked to bring a favorite stuffed dog or cat)
6:30-7:00 – eating hot dogs/"cataroni & cheese"/veggies/chips
7:00-7:15 – ice cream eating contest - we let icecream melt a bit and they had to eat it like a dog or cat (no hands)
7:15 – 7:35 make masks - they colored paper plates to look like a dog or cat
7:35-7:50 – barking/meowing contest - they held up their masks while Leah said something like bark like a sad dog, or meow like a surprised cat - she picked the winners
7:50-8:05 – pin the tail on the cat
8:05-8:35 – paint plaster dog or cat - figurines at Walmart for $.44/piece
8:35-9:00 – Open presents
9:00-9:40 – puppet play - the idea was to use their stuffed animals as puppets, divide them into groups to come up with a play and perform. We skipped this.
9:40-10pm – eat cake/ice cream, play "dog dog cat" instead of "duck duck goose" while waiting for parents.

Thanks for sharing! Those are some fun ideas, and too many are always better than not enough. =)
Supermom doesn't have to be cheerful - it's about getting the job done, girl! :) That schedule is amazing.
