Preparations

We're getting ready for some serious silly fun!! :)

For the shirts...my sister-in-law Andrea taught me how to do the "freezer paper shirts". When she was explaining the process, I kept thinking, "Freezer paper? Seriously? I don't get it." I decided to try it out, and it's actually easy as well as cool! Cut a stencil from freezer paper and iron it onto your shirt (yep, you heard right). Use fabric paint or acrylic paint inside the stencil (oh, and put something inside the shirt to keep the paint from soaking through to the back side of the shirt...I learned the hard way). After the paint has dried (I couldn't wait that long), peel away the freezer paper and be impressed with your creation! Mine didn't turn out as good as Andrea's, so I added some embroidery.

For the crown, I got ideas here and here. I think I'm going to have to make one for Amy to match the one on this site. Good thing I've still got some time. :)

Wow! You've been busy! Everything turned out awesome! Now we're just super jealous that we're not you. I asked Dean yesterday if we should show up and surprise you guys. Too bad he's not more fun cause I'd totally go for it! ;) Hope you all have a blast!!

That is really cool. I'll have to try it sometime. If I can perfect it, maybe we will attempt it with the Activity Day girls.
