Catch Up

Yikes! It's been over a month since I posted. The entry below is something I drafted the week of May 27th but never posted. Since that time, we took a vacation to Utah, made preparations for Jared's sister's wedding, and Jared spent a week in Germany (he's driving home from the airport as I write!!). Hence, blogging took a back seat. By the way, I've enjoyed keeping up to date with everybody else's blogs even though I haven't been commenting. It's pretty sad when you feel too overwhelmed to comment on people's blogs!

Anyway, here's the month-old post (and, ironically, that post was titled "Catch Up")! :)

Blogger lost the last post I completed a bit ago. It's taking me this long to reconstruct it. The fact that my post is completely missing makes me want to start printing out the blog in book form. This is like a family history for me and yikes, I would feel really bad if I lost the information! Anyway, here's a recap of the missing post along with some recent updates.

On Waiting...

Amy recently spent some time at our friends, the Angells' house. Their dog Jazzy and Amy have developed quite a fun relationship. Here are some pictures of Jazzy waiting for Amy to either wake up or finish eating so they can play. So fun!

Also, on waiting, I saw this quote on my sister's blog that I really enjoyed from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf:

"Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can - working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delayed. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!" -Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Continue in Patience," Ensign May 2010, 57.

My brother-in-law and sister are enduring well.

In other news, this is our last week of school! Leah's t-shirt design was featured on the school's award t-shirt for anyone who achieved the school's reading goal. She designed the artwork, and her friend came up with the caption.

Kaitlyn got a haircut and the same day she sang in a missionary meeting as part of our church's Stake Conference. When we got home, we had her sing it again so we could share: (Grrr...I still can't figure out how to post video from our camera--maybe you'll see this song sometime)

I had a meeting with two other moms to plan out a preschool in the fall. Hyrum is super excited and wants to know everyday if it's time for preschool. He also prays everyday that he will go to preschool soon. He prays for that, and for trips to the library for storytime.

Amy is finally walking more consistently! She still uses crawling as her main method of getting around, but she often gives walking a try on her own now.

We'll have some more adventures to tell about soon!
