Leah's Poetry

Yesterday Leah and I attended a funeral for Leah's school teacher's mother. We wanted to do something for her, but were unsure of what to do. I suggested that Leah could write a poem for her teacher, and she quickly composed a beautiful poem. Here are Leah's thoughts about the passing of a loved one:

Not Gone Forever

One has loved,
One has lost;
But
In a way
Gained.
For there are still
Footprints
In the dust
For that one
To follow;
To make their own
So they
Can make
Loved ones
Proud.
One who has left
Is not gone forever;
For after the icy chains
Of death,
There is life
For families to share,
Love,
And live
For eternity;
For there is
No end
To God's
Love.

We're grateful for her talents she so easily and readily shares.
