Leah's awards night

Leah was invited to a middle school awards night where she was to be recognized.  We didn't know ahead of time what the recognition would be.  She was also asked to play in an orchestra ensemble as prelude to the awards night.  I didn't realize it would be such a small group!

Leah was recognized for having all A's all year.  Then, she received an award we were even more proud of. She received the Vice-principal's award for citizenship.  The Vice-principal chose a few 6th grade students who had shown leadership, fair-play, friendship, etc., and one of them was Leah!  We've always tried to teach our children that we will be very proud of them for their grades, but it's even more important to be kind and get along with the other children.  This gave us much to be grateful for.
