Halloween & Fall Festival Fun

We had another Happy Halloween this year.  Here's the breakdown for the costumes:

Amy was "a witch with gloves".  She wanted to be a witch just like last year which was fine with me because I didn't have to do a thing.  She added the gloves because Hyrum was wearing gloves.  She wouldn't wear the hat for more than about 10 seconds.  She really loved trick or treating this year but was the first one to want to go home because she was tired and wanted to start eating her candy!

And even though Leah stayed home to pass out candy she went all out and dressed up as Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter:

Jared was supposed to dress up for work, so he decided to go as a scout since that's an easy costume.  When he got there he found out that Sammy had dressed up as Jared by wearing a blonde wig with sideburns, a button down shirt, conservative shoes, khakis, and carrying a notebook, a carrot stick and a cheese stick!

Tonight was our ward Fall Festival.  We decided to ditch the witch costumes and go with a Despicable Me 2 theme since Hyrum was already a minion and we have 3 daughters who could be Margo, Edith and Agnes.  Jared was Gru and I was Lucy.

I'm supposed to be holding my lipstick taser which I forgot for the picture.

Oh, one last bit of Halloween excitement...while we were trick or treating we came within about 2 feet of a copperhead in the road ready to strike.  I didn't get a great picture for obvious reasons!

One of the neighbors got a shovel and beheaded the snake and Hyrum took up saying, "It's a chopperhead...get it, chopperhead?"
