First, April Fool's Day:
We had "pizza" and "cake" for dinner. We ate the "cake" first because it was really bread with pizza toppings inside. Then we ate the "pizza" which was really cake, frosting and Fruit Roll-ups cut to look like pepperoni. Amy wasn't sure about April Fool's Day at first, but once she caught on she decided the whole month of April should qualify for fooling people.
The end of March Hyrum started an after school sports program where he gets to learn a few different sports. Here are some pictures of him learning to play flag football:
April 4th through 9th I was able to go to Utah to help my family. My sister Michelle is recovering from back surgery, my sister Amanda had a baby on April 7th, and my Grandma Pace suffered a fall that resulted in some stroke-like symptoms. I was grateful to be able to spend time with each of them as well as the rest of the family there.
We were pretty busy the whole time, so I only got a few pictures/video.

Here are two videos of my family singing to Grandma Pace. After her fall she was pretty much unconscious for quite a while. It was great to see her start talking again and joining in with some of the songs! We used to sing as a family often growing up. It was special to sing again for her.
When I got home from Utah we immediately went as a family to Savannah, Georgia for a Spring Break trip. Then when we got home it was time to celebrate Amy's birthday followed by Jared's birthday and Easter. I'll blog about those things later!

What a beautiful family tradition and tribute to your family, for being so close through music. Thank you for posting! I love reading blog updates, since we live so far away!
