Nauvoo

One of the highlights of November was our trip to Nauvoo, Illinois.  It was a very special and sacred experience for all of us.  We were grateful to learn more about the Pioneers and their legacy.  Their sacrifices created the lives we enjoy today.  We also enjoyed learning about many of our own ancestors who lived in Nauvoo.  Amy and Genevieve have been reading the "Little House on the Prarie" books, so Amy also loved seeing a live representation of life in the 1800s.

We found Sister Eppich, a sister from our Stake in Georgia, serving as a missionary in Nauvoo!

Carthage jail was an especially sacred experience.

Poor Leah wasn't feeling well.  We pushed her to keep participating in the sight-seeing.  She was a trooper.  The next day we found out she had a fever of 104 and had strep.

Kaitlyn, Hyrum and Amy had fun dancing on the original dance floor in the Cultural Hall.

Nauvoo temple was beautiful inside and out.  Jared, Genevieve, Leah and Kaitlyn were all able to participate in ordinances there.
