May 2021

We celebrated Kaitlyn's 17th birthday:

We had a mostly virtual Stake Conference. The only people in attendance were those speaking, saying the prayers, and their families. One of the people in our ward took screen shots of us speaking and sent us the pictures.

May 2021 was filled with many normal end of school year activities and events, but modified due to Covid restrictions.

Amy was able to do the traditional 5th grade walk through all the halls of the school.

Hyrum participated in a district honor band held outside.

Kaitlyn's orchestra had a concert which was the first in a long time. They were so excited, they played a lot of songs and it was a very long concert! It was full of good music though!

Amy played at a violin recital:

We were invited to a music night at a friend's home. She really wanted Leah and Kaitlyn to play there, but they were both unable to attend, so we recorded things at home:

Amy had a socially distanced 5th grade promotion ceremony. The handshakes consisted of fist bumps. She received a hat to the college of her choice. She chose BYU.

Kaitlyn's high school did not have an awards ceremony. She was told to pick up her awards in a drive through "ceremony."

Hyrum had a socially-distanced awards ceremony. He was chosen with a few other students to lead the pledge.

We celebrated the end of the school year with a Six Flags trip. Amy was super excited to finally be tall enough for all the rides!

We continued yard work with digging out a huge stump.
