Kaitlyn stayed with her Aunt Lisa's family the night before she flew home. She went sledding with her cousin Hannah and had a great time!
I stole the snowman picture from Hannah's Facebook Story.
We were so excited for Kaitlyn to come home on the 16th! On the 18th, she and Leah played a beautiful violin duet, "Away in a Manger" in Sacrament Meeting.
On the 19th, Amy had a group recital. Simultaneously, we joined with two other families to decorate gingerbread (graham cracker) houses. I went to Amy's recital, and then we joined in the decorating fun.
Jared and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on the 20th. We were invited to a wedding that day in the Atlanta temple, so we enjoyed that followed by proxy temple sealings. It was a perfect way to reflect on our own covenants we made 25 years ago. We attended the wedding reception for the newlyweds that evening. We didn't get any pictures, but we enjoyed the day. On the 21st, Leah, Kaitlyn and Jared sang in a choir for a live concert with Jenny Oaks Baker, her children, and soloist Alex Sharpe. Again, we didn't take any pictures, but it was a pretty amazing concert. Hyrum, Amy and I enjoyed watching.
On Christmas Eve, Jared dressed up as the Swedish Santa, Tomten, and visited a Swedish family in our area for their tradition. He has done that for several years. The kids don't know who he is. The parents sent me a picture this year.
We enjoyed Christmas morning together!
Kaitlyn crocheted some "Robins" representing the DC comic Robin family. Amy had the same idea for Kaitlyn and made her clay figures of the Robin family.
Leah gave Hyrum a Concertina.
Hyrum gave Leah some t-shirts and a Dungeons and Dragons pin.
