We tried something different for Valentine's Day this year. The older girls were supposed to have a "Daddy Daughter" dance at their school on Hyrum's birthday, so we decided to follow my sister Lisa's tradition and have a family Valentine's Ball this year instead. Our event was nothing in comparison to hers (her ball lasts 3 hours and has a spread of food that could elegantly feed a crowd). Our dance lasted less than an hour and had one food plate. Her children dance to Frank Sinatra and several line dances. We danced one slow dance a piece and did The Chicken Dance and the Hokey Pokey. :) But, we got some cute pictures and the kids had a great time. Notice, Hyrum decided to come to the ball as Buzz Lightyear.

Such a cute idea! Looks like everyone got in on the action...even Amy!
It looks like you had a fun time! Daddy daughter dances are memorable! Everyone looks wonderful--even Buzz!
Austin and I will have to have a Valentine's ball next year and join in on the tradition. It looks really fun!
What a great tradition! It looks like everyone was having a nice time. I hope Mommy & Daddy got to dance together at least once, too. =)
