Hyrum had a missionary Open House on July 26th. Our good friends, the Hunsakers, hosted it at their house because our house does not lend itself to a lot of cars trying to park. Hyrum had many church and community friends attend. Genevieve's sister Lisa came to help as well.
Allie gave Hyrum a gift at the Open House. She embroidered a tie for him.

One of Hyrum's friends in the neighboring ward was set apart in our home. It was fun to have both of them serving as missionaries at the same time.
While Hyrum was in the home MTC, Genevieve's sister Lisa taught her how to quilt a table runner. It was a fun project to do together! Genevieve had it almost finished by the time Lisa left.
Genevieve and Lisa were also talking about how hard it is when kids leave home. We were talking about how hard it was in particular for Kaitlyn and Lisa's daughter Hannah. We found pictures that showed they basically have the same crying face!
