Jared's family has a tradition of making gingerbread houses every year. It's sad to say that until this year, I've always been too stressed during December to handle thoughts of making any. This year I'm glad to say that we had room for this fun tradition. So, we invited some friends over and enjoyed being creative. We had one sad moment; Leah had just finished telling us how she's not a perfectionist, when she bumped her tray and her completed house shattered on the floor. She got to rebuild another one. Here's a look at our fun:

How fun! {Sad for Leah, though. I'm glad she was able to rebuild, and that her non-perfectionist self could handle such a blow! =)}
That was one tradition that I miss from our family! It's always seemed a little too stressful for me to host. But one of these years we're going to do that again! And thankfully, the Kindergartners get to build them the last day of school before break, so Hannah and Thomas will have at least had the experience. =)
Those turned out so cute!
Those houses look good enough to eat!
Your houses turned out great! I hear Grant wants to do houses when they're out here, so maybe we'll all be doing it again! ;)
