Felt Like a Monday

This morning I took Kaitlyn to the doctor's office because of a rash she has developed from sunscreen. Normally I wouldn't worry because she has a history of sunscreen allergic reactions, but I was concerned because the rash was spreading to areas where she didn't have sunscreen. Taking four kids to the doctor's office would be an adventure all by itself, but that wasn't what made it feel like a Monday. We had cleaned out our van so that Jared could use it for a youth activity. I forgot to restock it with the necessities. So, when Amy had a diaper blowout at the doctor's office I went to the van only to find that I had no change of clothes for her and no diaper wipes. Okay, I thought, I'm a mom, I can improvise... I decided that she could just be clothed in a diaper for a while and I found some antibacterial hand wipes (she didn't like that but it worked). Then, to my dismay, the only diaper in the car was a size 5 (she's in size 2)! What else was I going to do...she used it anyway! Fortunately it now feels like a Friday again. No, I haven't yet made it to the pharmacy for Kaitlyn's prescription, but at least I'll remember to stock the car before I head out again!

Hooray for moms and their ingenuity! =) I thought for sure you were going to say that poor Amy got a rash from the other wipes you had to use. I'm glad that wasn't the case! Glad to hear your 'Monday-ness' resolved back into the Friday it should feel like. =)

Another series of unfortunate events for a Crossley girl. Sorry it was a tough doctors visit. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the rest of your Friday, though.
