Last night we had our dear friends the Angells over for a belated Easter Egg dyeing activity. We celebrate Christmas for a month, and Easter is AT LEAST equally important as Christmas, so why not celebrate all month, right?
Today we got to celebrate Amy's 2nd birthday.
She started the morning off by insisting she is 3. I finally convinced her that she's 2. She had two times during the day when she almost had a tantrum saying, "I want my cake!" It was very hard for her to wait until after dinner! She couldn't even wait for us to cut the cake, as the pictures testify. She had to dig right in! When Jared was finally able to dish her plate of cake he moved on to the next piece. When she saw it leaving the cake she shouted, "No! Put it back!" Apparently she loved her Princess Dora cake! Fun day with a fun girl!
As a final note, Amy loved watching herself in this video. When she saw herself blow out the candles, she said, "Good job Amy!"

Happy Birthday Amy! Love the cake.
I love that you decorated eggs weeks after Easter! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY! So cute how excited she was about her cake. I would be too if I had a cake that looked like that!
I love that you celebrate Easter all month! I feel like it is such a neglected holiday, when it is the most important!!! Happy Birthday to Amy!
I think you guys should go into a cake decorating business...as usual the cake looks fantastic! Happy 2nd to Amy!
