Catch up again
Time to catch up again!
May 3rd was Kaitlyn's 8th birthday. We were excited to celebrate with her, but also didn't know what to do because we found out that Leah had been chosen as the Gifted student of the year for her school and the award ceremony was on Kaitlyn's birthday. Well, our dear friend, Lauralee Angell saved the day for Kaitlyn. She checked her out early from school and completely spoiled her until we picked Kaitlyn up after the awards ceremony. Here are some pictures to show how much fun Kaitlyn had with Lauralee:
While Kaitlyn enjoyed her birthday date, we attended the award ceremony for Leah. We were grateful to have 5 of her teachers also attend the event.
Friday we officially celebrated Kaitlyn's 8th birthday as a family. We had her birthday dinner, went miniature glow-in-the-dark golfing, and then came home to open presents. What did Kaitlyn order for her birthday dinner? Well...spaghetti hotdogs, ramen noodles, and cooked carrots. She requested a "My Little Pony" cake featuring Rainbow Dash and Shutterfly (thank you Jared for the artistic talent on the cake).
We very much enjoyed celebrating Kaitlyn's birthday and look forward to her upcoming baptism!
This past week was a wearing one. Sunday Amy began a fever that ran through Wednesday with temperatures often above 104, and even spiking at 105! She was at the doctor's office multiple days for multiple tests. So far, all we know is that her white blood cell count was 23,000, so something is up. We're hoping to figure things out for our sweet girl soon!
