June was a BUSY month. The first week of June Jared went to his last Scout Camp as Scoutmaster. He has been released from that calling and now serves as the Stake Executive Secretary. The night before he came home from camp our good friends Lauralee and Megan Angell came for an adventure. Megan and Leah went to Girl's camp the second week of June. Lauralee and I had fun catching up and preparing for her son's upcoming wedding. Then Lauralee and I went on a roadtrip with my three youngest kids. We started on Friday. Leah and Megan flew to Denver and we caught up with them on Sunday. The first night of our roadtrip we stopped at Lauralee's brother's house in the Dallas area. The kids loved playing with the kids there, especially in the pool.
The next day we headed to Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Angells' new home. We had a lot of fun relaxing, roasting Smores and Starburst, and touring a local natural attraction, The Garden of the Gods. Warning, lots of pictures!
On Sunday we picked up Megan and Leah from the Denver airport, went to sacrament meeting, then briefly visited the Denver temple grounds before we said goodbye to the Angells and headed to Utah.
When it was time to go, Amy started running to the temple and would not listen to me telling her to come back. She ran all the way to the doors and tried to get inside. I'm glad she wants to enter the temple! :)
