In June we worked on our yard like crazy. We prepared the yard for sod by first digging up the cable lines and moving them out of the way.
Jared purchased a tractor to help with the upcoming projects.
Next, Jared rototilled the entire front yard. The rest of us gathered rocks and roots from the churned earth. We then raked everything smoothly. We felt like crying when after working an entire day, heavy rain came in, making deep ruts in the earth. We had to re-rake everything. This time, however, we raked just enough to lay down a row of sod. We then raked the next patch and repeated the process.
Jared threw his shoulder and Leah needed to start helping till everything with him.
After the sod was in, we started working on replacing our walkway.
Kaitlyn, Hyrum and Amy had the opportunity to pickup two free books from our county's Bookmobile.
Kaitlyn had her first job interview and was hired by the Great American Cookie Company in the mall!
We celebrated Father's Day at home but still purchased a photo-tie for Jared. This year it was COVID-style.
