Wormsloe Plantation
Our last event in Savannah was visiting Wormsloe plantation, an 822 acre plantation that has existed since colonial times. The original family still lives there many generations later. We met up with some friends from Connecticut, the Ures, who just moved to Savannah. We got to step back in time and learn a bit about colonial life. One interesting thing we learned while there was that slavery was banned by Georgia's original charter. Slavery and lawyers were banned. Ha!
