August was less chaotic than June and July but still full.
Jared continued work on the basement.
Kaitlyn approved of our bean bag furniture.
Kaitlyn, Hyrum and Amy started school:
For my birthday, Jared had a plate professionally repaired that had belonged to my 3rd great grandmother, Agnes Beveridge Jaredine. This plate was given to her as a wedding gift in approximately 1853 in Scotland. The dish was handed down to Sarah Jardine Shumway and then to Isadore Shumway Owens as part of the original set. Jim Jardine (son of Agnes Beveridge Jardine) was sent to Scotland on a mission and when he went to see his granmother, she gave him the set of dishes that had been given to his mother. When he brought the dishes home to his mother, she exclaimed, "Oh, my dishes!"
Jared played the role of "Professor Dynamic" in primary. He blew a balloon in relation to how loudly the children should sing. The children enjoyed debating whether he was Professor Dynamic who spoke with a German accent or their bishop.
Leah left for BYU. It was emotional for all of us. I will always love the picture of Jared hugging her goodbye at the airport.
Jared and Hyrum enjoyed a fathers and sons campout.
We enjoyed a night of pizza and bingo at the elementary school.
