I was honored to go to the temple with Nicholas, Lauralee, and Greg Angell as Nicholas prepared to leave on his two year mission to California. When we came out of the temple there was a stunning display of 4 rainbows stacked on top of each other. You can't see it in the picture, but it was something!
Nicholas will be serving a mission for 2 years, and the Angells simultaneously moved cross-country to Colorado. We miss all of them!
Jared left for Scout Camp for 5 1/2 days starting July 15th. I've decided to order the movie, "Follow Me Boys" since Jared does so much scouting! Seems like a movie we should watch.
While he was gone, our Texas family came for a visit! It was very fun to have them with us and it made the time go by quickly. I didn't think to take pictures until the end of their visit, so we just have a few group shots.
Aaron, Lisa and their family left on Saturday, July 20th in the morning. Jared came home from Scout camp around lunch time. Shortly after, Amy fell asleep which she very rarely does. I thought she was just exhausted after a busy and fun week, but soon found out she had a fever. Jared went up to hold her, and they both conked out.
We were also watching Jazzy, the Angell's dog, while they were at a family vacation. Jazzy came to check on Amy while she was sick, then she camped out to listen to a bedtime story later.
Jared left again on Wednesday the 24th to Fort Worth, Texas, on business. He got to see Aaron and Lisa and their family while there. We found it ironic that he missed them while they were here but saw them the next week at their house!
Leah left on Monday the 22nd for a week of Orchestra Camp. She had a lot of fun in Helen, Georgia, not only broadening her violin experience but also swimming, horseback riding, paddle boating, and exploring Helen (a tourist town). We got to come hear her concert on Saturday the 27th. We thought it was overall a great experience for her.
